The Z87.1 "Plus" impact rating means the optically-clear visor has passed additional impact testing over and above a Z87 rated shield, including:

1. A penetrating strike from a 500 g (1.1 lb) spike dropped from 1.2 m (4.2 ft)
2. A high-velocity impact from a 6.25 mm (1/4") ball bearing fired at 20 different specified impact points

Extremely lightweight and featuring an adjustable ratcheting suspension system designed to minimize pressure points — remains comfortable even after hours of use.
