From raw materials to manufacturing, SB Tools LLC is committed to solely using American-made materials such as steel, aluminum, and composites in the manufacture of our tools and handles. Our manufacturing operations are based in Colorado, our new home, ensuring quality and supporting local craftsmanship.
Why We Always Anodize Aluminum Parts
Unlike some competitors, we consistently anodize all our aluminum parts, from handles to universal grinding platform components. Anodizing forms a durable aluminum oxide coating on the tool’s surface, significantly extending product lifespan and preventing aluminum residue from transferring to your hands.
Why We Always Heat Treat & Hardened Stainless Steel Parts
While other manufacturers opt for 300 series stainless steel for ease of manufacturing and cost reduction, we at SB Tools LLC choose differently. We exclusively utilize 400 series stainless steel, hardened to Rockwell HRC 45 through heat treatment. This enhances strength and wear resistance, ultimately improving performance and extending the working life of our products.

We promise to replace or refund any tool found to have a material or workmanship defect within one year of purchase. Please note that blades worn down from regular use or resharpening without material or workmanship defects are not eligible for replacement under this policy. All SB Tool blades are delivered pre-sharpened and ready to use out of the box. On our “Videos” page is a series of videos by Stuart Batty on how to sharpen and use each of our blades.
