In this video Stuart Batty talks about grinding wheels for woodturning before showing how to create his 40/40 bowl gouge grind from scratch. Stuart also shows how to set accurate edge angle for a variety of tools he uses for both spindle and bowl turning.
Stuart Batty shows how he makes his rough turned bowls followed by showing how he finishes a dry bowl including jam chucking. This video includes both his 40/40 and bottom bowl gouge grinds and techniques as well as his Negative Rake Scraping. There is also a short section on grinding and sharpening the various blades used in the video.
